| Pottery: Painted pottery |

Fewer examples of painted pottery are found among the Roman pottery products present in Lucus during the Roman period. The examples of painted pottery that we have, originate in native traditional workshops; either from central Hispania (workshops in Clunia) or from the north East of Spain (north of Portugal); all of which date from the second half of the First century A.D. We also find several examples of painted pottery during the High Empire period, represented by small cups and jars painted with patterns consisting of red lines, in the majority of cases from local workshops and ovens.
