In contrast to the thoroughness and rigour of the official writings, there are also more irregular handwritten texts, written spontaneously and on very different materials (pottery, stone or metal) with the purpose of passing a message, a thankful message or a curse, of writing accounts, of perpetuating a thought, of notinga practice or simply to record one's initials on one's own objects.
