Metal objects and tools, part of kitchenware and tableware or domestic gadgets (furniture ironmongery, keys, etc), as well as diverse tools and instruments are frequently found amongst the remains of the Roman period. They are of iron or bronze, and provide us with information about the diverse activities and crafts, either of a domestic or artisanal or even commercial nature. Iron objects are foractivities such as construction and agriculture. Other activities are medicine, surgery or pharmacy. To a lesser extent and more difficult to classify we document pieces for performingcertain cult rituals, weights and measures for commercial use, or certain types of combat weapons. The common peculiarity of these objects is that most of them are either fragmented or incomplete due to their state of preservation, that often makes their interpretation vague and imprecise.
